VaVa
China is about never standing still. The music is unscripted, & each
show features different musicians & artists & adheres to a new
idea. The core instrumentation includes drums, bass, & electronics.
At any given time, guest artists have included horn players, projectionists,
& hip-hop artists. Each adds a unique final patina to the group's
already identifiable electronica-meets-free jazz sound. John Bonafede
will present guerrilla street videos using the body as a tool for creating
minimalist composition, making the overall show a
process-oriented experience.
