know we haven't been in contact much this year, because I've been touring
a bunch to support the CD I released in March at a party at Mo's. I had
so been looking forward to coming back and doing another show, and I'm
just heartbroken that I won't be able to do that. I just wanted to let
you and the crew at Mo's know that I'm going to miss your venue very,
very much, both as a performer and as a fan.

Thanks for helping musicians find replacements for their night at Mo's
- we haven't decided on a venue yet, but definitely appreciate your getting
the word out to other venues around town. More importantly, I hope I can
learn as a musician and audience member how to help keep great clubs like
Mo's up and running in this town. These places are vital to the culture
and community and I want to show my support. In my 6 years living here,
several fantastic places have disappeared including The Bottom Line and
The Fez. My first-hand experiences with Mo's, both as a band leader and
side person for Nadine, were always positive. I felt respected and cared-for
as an artist there and I knew my audience would be comfortable and happy
too. Mo's was definitely NOT the busking-style, thrust on and off stage
in 45 minutes gig one often encounters as a song writer in NYC! Hope to
hear from you soon. I am sending my heartfelt sympathy about the unfortunate
news.

I just want to express my condolences re Mo Pitin's.
My son, David Slone, appeared with Evan Lawrence at the club. As a MAC
Award winner and former manager and booker of a cabaret (in the early
80s) my heart breaks to see such a warm, well run club close. I know the
cycle will turn again. I just hope it's soon. Mo Pitkin’s was very
special.

Hopefully you guys know how grateful I am to Mo's
for giving the anti-slam a home when it had none. Mo's has been my fave
place to hang out and do shows for the past two years and I am gonna miss
it so much. I am sad that it's closing, but happy that it's not closing
as soon as I'd heard. Does this mean I can do my show right up till the
17th? That date will mark the 12-year anniversary of my open mike, which
I'll be retiring after that. I can guarantee it will be the party of the
decade.

Sorry to hear that Mo's is closing. I am very happy
that I will get to do two last shows there. I have enjoyed doing many
shows upstairs there for the last couple of years. The vibe reminded me
of the old fez which as we know also closed. I am getting tired of all
the good clubs closing. People are just not coming out to see live music
the way they used to. Back in the late 90's, early 2000's when I worked
with The Strokes shows were packed and every band was friendly with each
