MC & producer Chris Burns, aka Sickabod Sane, is breaking the barriers of hip hop music with fresh wit & genre-jumping style. Formerly a drummer for the band Rocking Chair, Sickabod started writing raps & recording hip-hop beats his junior year in high school after getting a DJX keyboard for Christmas. Later, as a college student at NYU, Sickabod began to experiment with a diverse array of lyrical & musical arrangements, layering his original beats with sharp, tactical, & unique rhymes. Drawing on a wide range of influences- everyone from Eminem to The Beatles- Sickabod produced songs regularly throughout his four college years, distributing them via email & creating an underground buzz in the city & on university campuses nationwide.
