THE SELFSAME
BIG CITY BRIGHT LIGHTS
ANN COURTNEY & THE LATE BLOOMER

Ann Courtney's 25th Birthday Bash!
Come celebrate a quarter century with Ann and friends.
Featuring the dulcet sounds of:

The Selfsame is the brainchild of Pete Moses, former singer of of the luminary colorado post rock band The Fifth Utility. Reborn in Brookly, Moses' The Selfsame is a solo project on a most unusually epic scale. The music draws its strength from the tension between it's stark organic elements (guitar, piano, & voice) & its hyperbolical, frenetic synthetic, computer generated drum, & bass parts. on stage as well as on the soon-to-be-released debut album 'in the neat handwriting of the illiterate', all of the madness, the entire wall of crumbling sound,
emanates from just one man & his toys... all while a mesmerizing onslaught of stroboscopic, synchronized light & images are painted across the canvas.

Big City Bright Lights comes at you with a country twang straight from New York City. Lead vocalist and architect of BCBL - Lindsay Sullivan's voice is reminiscent of classic Americana, but specifically Loretta Lynn.

In one moment, Ann Courtney fronts this bright-eyed
bushy-tailed quintet with a wicked self-assurance and
rock moxie. In the next, she lays herself bare with
the dulcet tremors of heartache. Peggy Lee meets the
Pretenders in a happy collision of rosy ballads and
rag rock.
