SARAH BLACKER

More often than not, you leave a live concert thinking, 'that was a great guitar player,' or, 'that singer was really impressive.' Rarely though, do you find an act who's got it all. With full command of her vocals, Sarah's ability to glissade over 4 octaves of musical pitches, & span the styles of jazz, blues, folk, & rock, she makes most unsuspecting individuals, weak in the knees. She's constantly compared to Ani DiFranco, but is also regularly related to the likes of Joni Mitchell & Ella Fitzgerald. Her karate-kid style guitar playing is equally as impressive, & she fingerpicks & plucks both heavy groove, & gentle lullaby. Her songs inspire close & intimate listening, with ear worms that stick long after the show. And on top of all of this, she's downright beautiful, charismatic, & overtly sarcastic! A Berklee College of Music graduate, pending board certification as a music therapist, Sarah has toured nationally, opening for such acts as, Vince Welnick of the Grateful Dead, Marc Broussard, Michelle Malone, & Apollo Sunshine. She has also recorded with Dave DiCenso, drummer for Duran Duran, & Baron Browne, bassist for Brian McKnight. She says, 'I would like to be able to connect to as many people as possible, while helping them make sense of their worlds through song, as I am so lucky to be able to do, of mine.'
