'A
fantastic family experience- not to be missed' -Theatre Director,
The Long Island Children's Museum
Singer/songwriter, Bari Koral is happy to release her new cd The Bari
Koral Family Band. The Long Island native & NY-based Koral who
has built up a following & has shared the stage with such major recording
artists as Norah Jones & Lenny Kravitz has put a new twist on her
sound by making music that will delight children & their parents.
In addition to Bari on guitar & vocals, the band features Dred Scott
(bass) & Eric Halvorson (drums). The trio made their live debut last
October at the Long Island’s Children’s Museum where they
previewed new material from their forthcoming cd & since then have
built up a following with both kids & their parents, who are eager
to hear something fresh & new. The cd includes lots of earnest songs
about animals, & cars such as The Farm Song & Dad’s
New Car, which are destined to become instant kid’s classics.
Many other songs have plenty of adult appeal including A Day at the
Beach, reminiscent of the Go Go's, the bouncy pop ballad, There's
Nothing I Wouldn't Do, & live favorites such as Dance all
Day, which seems to draw from equal parts Blondie to The Hokey Pokey.
'I look out during our concerts & see parents & kids dancing together
& having a great time with each other. That's what I do. That's exactly
the kind of experience I want to create for families,' said Koral. The
band’s unique ability to appeal to a diverse age-range & various
event themes keeps them busy at all kinds of children’s series.
Their popular live shows are often described as a celebration of music,
family, kids, & love.
