In a rare solo acoustic / electric appearance, Lenny Kaye will sing original songs, read and croon from his acclaimed book on the intimate and romantic pop stylists of the 1930's, You Call It Madness, and celebrate the many musical traditions that have found their home on the lower east side.
Lenny is best known as the longtime guitarist with Patti Smith, the originator of the garage-rock anthology NUGGETS, co-author of Waylon Jennings' autobiography, and a record producer who has worked with such diverse artists as Suzanne Vega, Soul Asylum, Kristen Hersh, Jim Carroll, and Allen Ginsberg.
