Singer songwriter Kara Suzanne & her band The Gojo Hearts, create revamped indie alt-country rock inspired by The Band, Emmylou Harris, Neil Young & Dolly Parton. Kara artfully combines americana, old-school country, rock, & folk in her original songs. She's often compared to Aimee Mann, Patty Griffin, & Neko Case. The Gojo Hearts include composer/pianist Aya Kato, guitarist/songwriter/singer Steve Lewis, bassist Calvin Bennett, & percussionist J. Frederick. Their first album Aumsville just won Best Album of the Year Vox Populi from the Independent Music Awards.
