JESSIE MURPHY
DAVID LK MURPHY
THE LOVE

A frequent Village Voice choice, the paper once described singer-songwriter Jessie Murphy as sounding like both a "photonegative of Jimi Hendrix" and "Joni Mitchell's scrappy kid sister with a voice like rippling silk."

Submerged in the Lower East Side music scene at a young age Murphy picked up the guitar and started writing songs at thirteen. Like a bluesman waltzing to Mozart, Murphy's songs are hypnotic and rough, both intimate and candid. "Tranquil and just this side of folk, Goodbye is a secret little gem." - The Sentimentalist

Indie-pop duo The Love formed when Jessie Murphy and Jamie Stellini joined forces. Receiving heaps of praise from various critics, The Love have been described as "powerfully spiritual" and "introspective" (PINK Magazine). You can also catch them in heavy rotation on Sirius Satellite Radio as they climb Out Q's Top 20 Charts. Both artists have logged a lot of touring hours, and have recently returned from the UK touring together as The Love to celebrate the release of their LP "Songs For The Record."
