PAULA CARINO

The Infinite Orchestra makes art music that you can dance to! They combine elements from rock, electronica, hip-hop, jazz, and classical music to give you tunes, beats, and epic compositions that are larger than life, while keeping you on the edge of your tippy-toes. Since the group’s founding in 2005, they have been playing to increasingly large and surprisingly friendly audiences at various venues around New York. The group is led by Ben Morss, who not only has played on albums by bands like Cake and Wheatus, but has also recently become a music professor at a local college. |

An ensemble so intrinsically rhythmic that they don't need a drummer, Paula Carino and the Lo-Vision Library will strike you down with their power-pop majesty and then politely pick you up. The local trio (Paula on vox/gtr, Ross Bonadonna on lead gtr, Andy Mattina on bass) crafts literate and melodic rock that evokes the image of Chrissie Hynde boxing Robert Pollard about the ears. |
