Gabrielle Louise is a twenty-one year-old roots/rock performer noted for her vocals and poignant lyrics. A Colorado-native, Gabrielle Louise recently moved to NYC where she is recording her second full-length album. Drawing comparisons to the likes of Joni Mitchell, Allison Krauss, and Emmylou Harris, Gabrielle Louise’s sound is grounded in the earthy feel of The Band and The Bryds, while maintaining a penchant for musical adventurism. She is at one moment folkie and ethereal, the next moment a smoky jazz chanteuse. Her show at Mo Pitkin’s will feature noted French guitarist Aurelien Budynek.
