“I am inspired by artists who are honest and speak whets in their hearts. Fiona apple, Damien rice, aqualung, marc Broussard, Ryan Adams are some contemporary influences of mine. growing up I loved storytellers like: James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, Bill Withers, Bonnie Raitt, Sade, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles (who inspired my song "Ray'). I try to be totally honest when I write my lyrics, even when its hard. I wish all of you a way to express yourselves that satisfies you and brings you peace.

"You have to take the music that makes you feel good because, of course, you're going to be inspired by that," the emerging young artist Meleni says about her musical influences before adding, "but you have to flip it, because there's only one you and no one else could ever replicate what's in your head."
