ERIC LEWIS TRIO
A
world renowned master musician, Eric performs with mesmerizing physicality that
for the last four years has been a fixture in the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra.
Prior to that he toured and recorded with Elvin Jones, Cassandra Wilson, Roy
Hargrove, and the Wynton Marsalis Quartet. Lewis can be heard alongside Marsalis
on several CDs, including the recent Live from the House of Tribes
on which Eric fires up a series of solos that showcase his stylish grooves,
rhythmic textures, and concussive blows to the keyboard.
Since striking out on his own, Eric is making an impact as a composer, scoring
soundtracks and creating original compositions for his high-profile concert
dates. He will be seen in the 2006 release of the The Good Shepherd,
directed by Robert DeNiro, featuring Angelina Jolie, Matt Damon, Joe Pesci,
and John Turturro among others.
