Deadspin is a fresh face in the rock scene, making their first NYC appearance at Mo's. Proudly representing their Boston roots, they take a simple rock format to new extremes, masterfully creating a harmonious juxtaposition between utter perplexity & complete understanding. Deadspin guitarists Ben Moss & Leo Shemesh, & bassist & lead vocalist Jeremy Siegel have played music together since their high school days in suburban Boston, & as a result, many of their most spirited compositions of today grew directly out of youthful jam marathons in their ex-drummer's mom's house. Attending college in Houston, Ben was fortunate enough to meet drummer Daniel Gould, & his percussive excellence was immediately apparent. 'If only I could convince him to move to Boston, we could be incredible with him on drums,' Ben thought. As a wonderful twist of fate, D was accepted to a masters program at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, & the seed was planted. Officially forming in June, 2006, Deadspin has steamrolled its way to a vast repetoire of great originals, compositions, vignettes, & covers, & the future is looking bright as the night moon.
