Armed with a voice that The Nashville Rage has described as 'awakening on a sunny morning, a breeze whispering through soft curtains... rumpled, a little seductive, & highly musical, Tennessee native Clare Burson independently released her full-length debut album, The In-Between, to much critical acclaim in the spring of 2003. It has landed on the 'best of' lists of record stores and radio stations in the US & the UK & was reviewed as one of the top DIY recordings of 2004 by Performing Songwriter Magazine. Tracks from The In-Between were included on 2 widely distributed compilation albums & were featured on the television show Dawson's Creek. Irish singer Maura O'Connell chose to record Clare's song, Hold On, for her 2004 Sugar Hill release, Don't I Know. |

The Jones Street Boys bring you in with original and traditional tunes that tell stories of lost riverboats, grandpas, sunshine, and bourbon. Beyond mere preservation of any genre, this group of five multi-instrumentalists and songwriters contributes to the evolution of American music without pretense or arbitrary fusion. Their instruments, guitar, mandolin, dobro, harmonica, accordion, piano, have just been beefed up in the rhythm section with upright bass and cajon (wooden box drum). Layered on top of this instrumentation are four-part vocal harmonies, creating energetic live performances steeped in the joy of playing music. The boys balance a new-yet-familiar sound with stage presence that invites you to embrace their music from the first listen. |
