just arrived in new york from switzerland. back there i had a band called
trummer, also basically a singer-songwriter-project. two albums have been
released, & the band played two successfull tours, was chosen to be
the swiss band atthe eurosonic festival 2006, a plattform festival for
european newcomers. all the same, i eventually felt the need to play my
songs for an english speaking audience. also, switzerland is kind of a
dead-end street to its artists, being so small & not really famous
for anybody having come from there (apart from techno-pioneers yello maybe...)
so new york, with it's ever-blooming songwriter-scene, seemed to be the
right place to find out more about the quality of original material in
relation to what's possible...
in my first three months in winter/spring 06, things went off okay &
so i'm planing on coming back frequently now. new york has proved to be
very inspiring, which is no surpise, i guess. i'm excited about being
here! so, i hope to see you at a show sometime soon.
