Chris Orbach is a singer-songwriter from NYC. His stylistically diverse music has elements of pop, rock, folk, soul, blues, & jazz. He's routinely told that he sounds like he could have been 'the bastard son of Donald Fagen & James Taylor, raised by Fountains Of Wayne,' a comparison which, after years of resistance, he has embraced. After some time off the circuit, he came back with a CD, Safely Through The Night, from his own High Functioning Media label, & has teamed up with some great players. For this return to Mo's, Chris is joined by an a-team rhythm section: Stew Cutler on lead guitar, who's played with everyone from Wilson Pickett to Bill Frisell; Paul Frazier on bass, who's played with tons of artists, including Bonnie Raitt, Chaka Kahn, and David Byrne; & Graham Hawthorne on drums, who's toured with Paul Simon & David Byrne.
