Jerusalem native, Ayelet Rose Gotlieb performs to support her new album, Mayim Rabim, which was recently released on John Zorn’s record label, Tzadik. Continuing the downtown tradition of radical Jewish culture, Ayelet’s sound draws on a wide range of musical approaches. She infuses free improvisation with elaborate composition, and spices it up with Middle Eastern scales and adventurous texts. Ayelet’s newest release is a reinterpretation of biblical love poetry from the Song of Songs.
