When
one thinks of rock music from New York City, a hot-wired banjo doesn't
come to mind. Andrew Vladeck combines the modern with the historical,
putting a New York spin on Americana Rock with lyrics that are at once
playful and soulful. With the release of his debut record, Vladeck,
a fixture on the Lower East Side, has been touring from Boston to Nashville. The
Village Voice in NYC calls his music "Nothing but Fun"
and Music Connection in LA calls it "absolutely entertaining." His
debut record recently received three Billboard Song Contest Honors.
'Andrew Vladeck’s self-titled debut album is highly musical, soulful
result of a lot of years of playing and touring. His eclectic family of
songs pays the listener in full and no matter how many times he falls
to pieces, he’s just fine. Hold a copy to your chest and rock back
and forth today!' -The Deli Magazine, Marie Helene
' Andrew Vladeck makes this CD his own with instruments that he plays
througout like the banjo, ukulele and autoharp... playfully bounces from
song to song and story to story. Vladeck has his own stories to tell without
letting the energy of the music take the backseat. "Waiting for the
Coffee to Kick in" begins: "Last night I got hammered/But today
I woke up nailed." NICE!' -Impose
'While not easy to describe, his upbeat music is bold and brassy... this
ex-urban park ranger is nothing but fun.' -Village Voice, Aber
