Ana is one of the most accomplished classical guitar virtuosos in the world, yet she is still in her 20s. She is poised to build a career that has an appreciable impact on the direction of both the instrument & the classical guitar repertoire. We are very fortunate not only to record & release her next studio record (which, with luck, will include a healthy dose of Barrios!), but also, to producing & recording a show in a much smaller– & much different- venuethan she would typically perform: Mo Pitkin’s. A great venue to be sure, but certainly different for Ana than, say, Kennedy Center in Washington, DC! In such a small & intimate room, experiencing this level of virtuosity will be incredible, even for you jaded music industry types. Also, we believe that Ana is the type of person & performer who could help to 'cross over' this (yes, I’m biased) singular instrument- & its rich musical tradition– to an entirely new generation of fans & a different demographic than usually partakes of the staid classical fare. Appreciating that the show comes on the heels of a long holiday weekend, still, the venue is small, the show is special, & we need to fill the room. Please attend– you will not be disappointed.
